I was delighted that Heather & William chose me to be their wedding photographer at The Cowshed at Woodhall Farm as this was a new venue for me & one I was very excited to be working at 🙂
The Cowshed at Woodhall Farm is a charming 18th century farm building set in acres of farmland in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside just outside Codsall, Wolverhampton. The venue really is a blank canvas for couples to do as they wish with & is a perfect wedding venue for couples who wish to stamp their personality on the their wedding day, just as Heather & William.
As a photographer I adore the patina of old stone & brickwork & The Cowsheds have that in abundance along with charming bridleways winding through hedgerows with gateways into beautiful fields. It really is a photographers paradise & a wonderful setting to create memories for the rest of a couple’s life.
The day started with meeting up Heather & her family at her parents home in Wombourne as everybody prepared for the day ahead whilst Heather & Williams lovely son kept everybody entertained 🙂
Ceremony time was fast approaching & I headed off to the delightful St Bernadette Roman Catholic church in Wombourne to meet up with William & the guests. It was a lovely touch that Heather’s father drove her to church in her lovely little, white mini although I think nerves may have kicked in as the parking outside the church did leave a bit to be desired 🙂 🙂
We were soon inside the church enjoying a lovely, personal ceremony & the light, airy interior of the church made for some wonderful photos.
After the ceremony we captured a handful of family photos before the customary confetti shot outside the church.
A drive through the Staffordshire countryside soon found us at Woodhall Farm for the rest of the day’s relaxed celebrations with the cowshed providing a wonderful backdrop to the wedding breakfast & speeches.
In the early evening it was a wonderful time to explore the surrounding bridleways & farmland for Heather & William’s portrait photos before heading back to The Cowshed for some very tasty burgers & the evening’s partying!
