It was great being back for a wedding at Mythe Barn, this time having the pleasure of being Connie and Callum’s wedding photographer. Mythe Barn is a stunning venue situated in glorious Leicestershire countryside, surrounded by 150 acres of farmland and boasting beautiful gardens, it really is an idyllic wedding venue.
I arrived at Mythe Barn in time to meet up with Connie, Callum and their guests just prior to the ceremony. As Connie was making her final preparations, in the courtyard the band played and Callum had a chance to relax and mingle with the guests.
Ceremony time was soon upon us and Connie and her father made their way into the magnificent Oak Barn. Within the beautiful contemporary and rustic interior of the barn a great ceremony was conducted for Connie and Callum by the lovely Leicestershire registrars.
As everyone emerged from the barn there was the opportunity for some family photos including some very precious shots of Connie and Callum with their little baby twins. The weather could not have been any better, with time to chill in the courtyard and for the younger guests to enjoy the bouncy castle 🙂
The elegant Grain store, which overlooks the gardens was the setting for Connie and Callum’s wedding breakfast. A lot of fun was had as the main course was carved and served, courtesy of a guest on each table! The very entertaining speeches followed, mainly at Callum’s expense!
The late spring evening light gave Connie and Callum the chance to explore the fields and lanes for their portrait shots. Returning to the Oak Barn, there was the traditional bouquet toss before Connie and Callum took to the dance floor for their first dance. The dance floor proved popular with the guests whilst Connie and Callum took their turn on the bouncy castle followed by a few twi-light shots!
