With Bev and Chris being such huge Stoke City Football Club fans, the venue for their wedding celebrations just had to be the bet365 Stadium, home of their beloved team 🙂 I was really looking forward to being Bev and Chris’s Stoke City Football Club wedding photographer. The backdrop of the Stadium was going to provide opportunities to capture some very unique and fun shots.
First of all, I started the day meeting up with Bev, who was enjoying her bridal preparations at her parent’s home. Bev’s parents house was situated very conveniently just round the corner from St John’s Roman Catholic Church, which was Chris’s family’s local church and where the ceremony was to take place.
Whilst Bev and her father made their way to church in style in a vintage car, Chris and the guests had made their way into the church to await their arrival. The priest conducted a wonderfully personal, light hearted service that everyone enjoyed followed by confetti throwing & bubble blowing in the churchyard.
Arriving at the bet365 Stadium, Bev and Chris and their two sons had some photos taken by the Sir Stanley Matthews Memorial before having some fun shots in the Media centre 🙂 Once inside the stadium it was out on to the pitch side for bridal party photos then into the centre circle for some family shots. Bev and Chris then had a tour of the dressing rooms and received their official Stoke City Football Club Mr and Mrs shirts!
The Tony Waddington Suite was the setting for the wedding breakfast, speeches and evening celebrations. Overlooking the stands and football pitch, it was just perfect surroundings for Bev and Chris and the guests to carry on partying the night away. After the first dance and Bev’s dance with her Dad I had a chance to capture Bev and Chris’s twilight portraits before leaving them to enjoy their evening.
