Today I was heading over to the pretty village of Meriden in Warwickshire to be Angela and Pete’s wedding photographer, for their wedding at The Strawberry Bank Hotel.
As I arrived at the Strawberry Bank I found Pete relaxing with the guests in the dining room. All the bridesmaids were prepared and taking great care of the lovely little flower girls, ready for Angela’s arrival. The weather forecast for the day had not looked good at all so everyone was really happy and relieved to see the sun shining 🙂
It was soon time for Pete and the guests to take their seats in the Meriden Suite for the ceremony. As it is the bride’s prerogative to be a little late, Pete waited eagerly for Angela to walk down the red carpet with her father for the ceremony. The Meriden Suite, which has recently been refurbished with its wonderful interior provided a very special setting for everyone to enjoy the ceremony conducted by the Solihull Registrars.
After the ceremony everyone headed into the hotel’s charming restaurant for a drinks reception. The restaurant with its conservatory and open terrace was a great area for the guests to gather and congratulate Angela and Pete.
Leaving the guests for a while Angela and Pete went out into the gardens for their portrait shots. The Strawberry Bank is set in 2 acres of wonderful landscaped gardens overlooking countryside and with its interesting buildings and features within the gardens, gave some great backdrops for the photos.
Angela and Pete were then welcomed back into the Meridan Suite for their cake cutting before everyone enjoyed the wedding breakfast.
