As Hampton Manor Wedding Photographer to Rhian and Jack I firstly travelled over to their new home in Swadlincote, to meet up with Rhian and her bridesmaids, enjoying their bridal prep. Unfortunately the weather was not being kind to us, as we left to make our journey down the M42 to Hampton Manor, it was torrential rain!
Hampton Manor is located in the charming village of Hampton in Arden in the West Midlands. This stunning wedding venue was once the home of the former Prime Minister, Sir Robert Peel and is a Grade 11 listed building. When we arrived Rhian made her way to the luxurious Sarah Ireland Suite, for her final preparations and I met up with Jack, his groomsman and best women in the bar.
Rhian’s father caught that ‘first glimpse’ before it was time to escort Rhian into The Birches. Jack and the guests had gathered inside this rustic barn style building, which is Hampton Manor’s bespoke wedding ceremony room, in the large grounds of the Manor. The chandeliers and timber flooring of the barn created such an idyllic setting for everyone to enjoy a lovely wedding ceremony. Afterwards, as the weather really was not on our side, it was great to capture Rhian and Jack’s confetti shot inside The Birches before we all headed over to the Manor for a drinks reception.
The lobby area of the Manor was a great space for everyone to get together for the family photos before I took Rhian and Jack to the parlour. The parlour room was Rhian’s favourite room at the Manor and Rhian and Jack had specifically asked that I captured a few portrait photos surrounded by the beautiful floral interior of the room.
Rhian and Jack’s wedding breakfast took place in The Courtyard which was then followed by great speeches and a highly entertaining ‘Mr and Mrs’ quiz. Later, it was such a relief that the rain had stopped and Rhian and Jack were able venture outside to enjoy the beautiful grounds. The Manor, its clock tower and superb grounds made super backdrops for some more portrait shots. We also made the most of Rhian’s veil 😉
Evening celebrations got underway back in The Courtyard with Rhian’s bouquet toss, followed by cake cutting and Rhian and Jack taking to the dance floor for their first dance. Before the party really got going, Rhian and Jack had a few final photos on the staircase featuring the amazing chandelier, such a significant feature of Hampton Manor’s stunning interior.
