As Felicity and Andrew’s wedding photographer I headed into Warwickshire, near Stratford upon Avon for their Ettington Park wedding.
I really look forward to working at Ettington Park. This stunning gothic mansion, with its amazing architecture, set in 40 acres of parkland, truly is a wonderful wedding venue.
As I arrived to meet up with Felicity and Andrew, I passed by the library, which was all set up, ready and waiting for ceremony time. Felicity and her bridesmaids were getting ready in one of the hotel’s very beautiful and spacious suites. There were lots of happy, smiley faces and a very relaxed atmosphere as final preparations were being made. It was soon time for Felicity’s Stepdad to escort her into The Library where Andrew and all the guests were eagerly awaiting their arrival. The Library with its period features and views over the grounds, was a gorgeous setting for a thoroughly enjoyable ceremony.
Afterwards, the guests congratulated Felicity and Andrew in the Drawing Room where they held a drinks reception before stepping outside into the sunshine for a confetti shot and family photos. For Felicity and Andrew’s portraits we walked around the wonderful victorian gardens. There was certainly an array of interesting backdrops! The neo-gothic mansion, built in various colours of cotswold stone, the ruins of the old Norman church and the Orangery made super locations.
The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Long Gallery. This magnificent room runs the whole length of the building, with wood panelling and book cases creating a great space for Felicity and Andrew to enjoy their meal and speeches with their guests.
Before the evening entertainment got underway Felicity and Andrew took the opportunity to step back outside into the gardens for a few more photos whilst there was still a lovely evening light. Then, after making a quick dress change for their James Bond themed evening reception they met up with their guests. It was great to see so many of the guests dressed for the part too! As ‘Electra King and James Bond’ took to the dance floor for their first dance what else could possibly follow than everyone enjoying a casino night 🙂
