For Sarah and Darren’s big day I found myself heading into Shropshire Countryside to be their wedding photographer at Patshull Park Golf and Country Club. I was really looking forward to Sarah and Darren’s wedding day and having the opportunity to work at a new venue to me.
Sarah was enjoying her bridal prep at the Copthorne Hotel in Merry Hill. When I arrived Sarah, her Maid of Honour and Bridesmaids were relaxed and excited for the day ahead. It was also great to meet up with Rebecca, whose wedding I had photographed at Himley Hall a few years ago. Rebecca is now a professional make-up artist (rebeccatromans.co.uk) and was certainly looking after Sarah and the girls.
The wedding ceremony was taking place at the beautiful Grade 11 listed Holy Trinity, Old Hill Church in Cradley Heath. Darren and his best man arrived at church accompanied by their police escort for the day 😉 Once inside the church, Darren and the Guests witnessed Sarah’s arrival with her father. A very enjoyable, light-hearted wedding ceremony took place, conducted by the very friendly Vicar, Nick.
After the ceremony there was a chance for confetti shots before everyone made their way over to Patshull Park. It was fantastic to see Sarah and Darren’s friends from Midlands Riders providing a motorcycle escort, complete with the Chicago police car. As we arrived at Patshull Park photos were taken with the Motorcyclists, then family photos and a few portraits before the wedding breakfast and entertaining speeches.
Afterwards, Sarah, Darren and I headed into the grounds of Patshull Park. As well as the golf course, Patshull Park provided a glorious parkland and lakeside setting to capture Sarah and Darren’s portraits.
We returned to the Lakeside Suite to meet up with the guests for evening entertainment which included the brilliant magician, Chris Peskett (closeupchris.co.uk). Sarah and Darren then took to the dance floor for their first dance.
