Jamie-Lee and Matt had chosen a wedding at The Barns Hotel and Restaurant, situated on the edge of Cannock Chase in Staffordshire. This charming 18th Century Farmhouse is a regular destination for me as a wedding photographer and one that I thoroughly enjoy working at.
I started my day meeting up with Jamie-Lee, happy and relaxed, at her home for the first part of bridal prep before the whole bridal party then set off to The Barns to finish off their preparations.
Meanwhile, over at The Barns, Matt and the guests had gathered in The Loft ahead of the ceremony. As the bridesmaids took a short walk over to The Loft, Jamie-Lee and her father arrived in style in the hotel’s resident Bentley. The yellow and orange theme of flowers and ribbons gave a lovely warm setting in The Loft for the ceremony. Jamie-Lee, Matt and their guests enjoyed an emotional and enjoyable service conducted by the Staffordshire Registrar. After the ceremony and drinks reception, everyone gathered outside the farmhouse for family photos and confetti throwing.
Leaving the guests for a while, I took Jamie-Lee and Matt a short distance to Cannock Chase for their portraits. With The Barns having the Chase on it’s doorstep it really gives a great photography opportunity.
Afterwards, back at the farmhouse, the lovely hotel suite provided a relaxed and informal setting for everyone to enjoy the wedding breakfast and fun speeches.
It was soon time for the evening celebrations and after a few drinks in the bar the guests joined Jamie-Lee and Matt back in the suite for the First Dance. What a fabulous dance routine it was & it left Jamie-Lee feeling relieved she had survived 🙂 . After a 2nd dance with her father my evening finished with a few twilight portraits outside the farmhouse.
