As Katie and Steven’s Shustoke Barn Spring Wedding Photographer, my first point of call on their wedding day was to head over to Nuneaton for Katie’s prep. Over at Katie’s parents home the bridal party were making their final preparations to leave for Shustoke. Luckily, the forecasted rain had passed over as Katie and her father travelled to the barn in their friend’s classic red Jaguar.
With it still being a little damp outside from the downpour, it was lovely for Katie to make her way into the warmth of the barn. Inside the stunning 18th Century, red bricked barn, Steven and the guests were eagerly awaiting Katie’s arrival. Soon a lovely ceremony was underway, conducted by the Warwickshire Registrars and overseen by their mini-man, Katie and Steven’s gorgeous little Son 🙂 !
After the ceremony everyone gathered around the private courtyard for confetti throwing and family photos. Katie and Steven then took a stroll around the grounds to capture some photos with their little boy. Shustoke Barn is owned by Cripps and Co, a family business who restore beautiful barns and gardens for weddings and events. Shustoke’s grounds and outbuildings certainly did create a great backdrop for Katie and Steven’s portrait photos.
It was soon time to head back inside the barn which had been stunningly decorated for the wedding breakfast and speeches. Afterwards Katie and Steven cut their cake in the entrance hall before taking to the romantically candlelit dance floor for their first dance. As the band played, Katie and Steven had the chance for some twilight shots and to enjoy marshmallows toasted over The Barn’s famous fire pits, before rejoining their guests on the dance floor.
