I was absolutely delighted when Nataliya and Daniel asked me to be their Rock Village wedding photographer. Daniel is my Nephew and when they approached me for recommendations on venues for their special day I immediately suggested St Peter and St Paul Church and Rock Village Hall. Nataliya and Daniel visited Rock and fell in love with the village and knew straight away that this was where they wanted their wedding to take place. The pretty village of Rock is situated in beautiful Worcestershire countryside, just outside the historic town of Bewdley.
The big day had finally arrived and the weather was glorious as I made my way over to The Talbot Inn in Newnham Bridge. The inn was just a stones throw away from the village of Rock and made a great location for Nataliya and the bridal party to enjoy their final preparations.
Meanwhile, Daniel and his bestman James got ready over at the nesrby Forresters Inn. As ceremony time approached Daniel and all his groomsmen then took the short walk up the lane to the church of St Peter and St Paul from the Village Hall to meet up with the guests.
The chuch of St Peter and St Paul is a very impressive Grade I listed church and is the largest Norman parish church in Worcestershire. Nataliya made her entrance into the church to the music ‘Arrival of the Birds’. One of the stunning Norman architectural features in the church is a superb Chancel Arch. Underneath the arch Nataliya and Daniel exchanged their vows to each other with the sun gleaming through the beautiful stained glass windows. It was a perfect setting for a very personal and enjoyable wedding ceremony.
As Nataliya and Daniel made their way out of church, everyone lined the path of the churchyard for the fun of the confetti shot before we all made our way down the lane to the village hall.
Rock Village Hall is lovely and spacious, light and airy, in a beautiful rural setting with a terrace overlooking glorious views of the countryside. Eveyone enjoyed a drinks and canapes reception and whilst Nataliya and Daniel had some family photos and portraits shots taken the guests could just relax and mingle. The wedding breakfast theme was pizza and buffet which went down a storm with everybody. After everyone had enjoyed their freshly prepared pizza it was time to sit back and listen to the highly entertaining speeches.
After making the most of the lovely evening light for some more portrait shots the evening entertainment kicked off with Nataliya and Daniel making their way on to the dance floor for their first dance. What a fantastic first dance routine it was, practised to perfection 😉 Live music, courtesy of ‘The One Step band soon tempted everyone on to the dance floor whilst Natiliya and Danial had some twilight photos taken, before joining everyone back on the dance floor.
