It had been a good while ago since Sarah and Michael had booked me to be their Yeldersley Hall Wedding Photographer. The day had finally arrived and as I travelled over to the Peak District in Derbyshire I really was looking forward to the day ahead.
Sarah had chosen a luxury lodge at Sandybank Country Park for bridal prep. This was in an ideal location for their Derbyshire wedding venue, situated near the market town of Ashbourne. As I left Sarah to prepare to arrive in style at the Hall in a beautiful vintage car, I headed over to the Hall ahead of her to meet up with Michael and the guests.
Yeldersley Hall was a new venue for me and one I instantly knew I would enjoy working at. Originally built around 1800 it is a stunning Georgian Country House standing in 12 acres of gardens. It is privately owned and offers unique and exclusive wedding packages. The ceremony room provided a perfect setting with its wonderful oak fireplace and views over the beautiful gardens.
After the ceremony Sarah and Michael enjoyed confetti celebrations and a few group photos before everyone enjoyed a drinks reception in the Orchard. Sarah and Michael then took the opportunity to have a few moments to themselves taking a short drive through the country lanes and returning for their portrait photos.
The wedding breakfast really was fun. The guests got involved carving the meat at the tables and the speeches really were hilarious 🙂
It was a lovely evening outside so I took Sarah and Michael for a few more shots before letting them get back to their guests for first dance and enjoying the rest of their celebrations.
