A spring day (without snow!!) was in the offering as I headed out to be Emma and Charles’ Weston Hall Staffordshire Wedding photographer.
The day started out with me meeting up with Emma at her parents house for bridal prep. It certainly was a full house with a great atmosphere as Emma and the girls prepared for the day ahead.
Only a stone’s throw away was the beautiful village of Rolleston on Dove. Situated in the village was the charming 18th Century inn, The Spread Eagle, where I found Charles with his groomsmen and the guests 🙂 The inn was very conveniently located adjacent to St Mary’s church where the wedding ceremony was to take place.
St Mary’s church is a grade I listed building dating back to the 13th century and made a stunning setting for the ceremony. The ceremony was thoroughly enjoyable and made very personal for Emma and Charles by the Reverend. Afterwards we all headed out into the churchyard for confetti and family photos before commencing the journey to Weston Hall.
Weston Hall dates back to 1550 and is a grade II listed building, retaining many of its Elizabethan features. With the magnificent exterior of the hall and acres of surrounding scenery it made a perfect backdrop for Emma and Charle’s portrait photos.
It was then time to head into the Westminster Suite for the rest of the days celebrations. The interior of the suite had lots of character with beams and fire places which provided a lovely setting for Emma and Charles to enjoy their wedding breakfast and later dance the night away with their guests.
