It really was a beautiful Autumn day for Chloe and Andy as I set off to provide their wedding photography at Alrewas Hayes in Staffordshire. Chloe and Andy were having a church ceremony at the local parish church followed by a reception at the Alrewas Hayes Exclusive Wedding Venue.
I firstly headed over to Derby to meet up with Chloe, who was having alot of fun with her bridesmaids, in her bridal prep. Chloe’s Dad provided retro 80’s music from his vinyl collection which certainly amde a change from MTV!
As the bridal party made their way over to Alrewas, Andy and the guests had arrived at church. The ancient, Grade I listed, All Saints Parish Church is situated in the heart of this charming village and was a lovely setting for Chloe and Andy’s wedding ceremony The ceremony was conducted by the resident Vicar, John Allan who made it a very personal, lovely occasion for Chloe and Andy and all their guests. It was such a special touch when a local artist, who had been painting a picture of the church earlier, presented it to Chloe and Andy after the ceremony as a keepsake. Meanwhile all the guests gathered to throw confetti all through the churchyard, under the lychgate and out into the lane 🙂
It was then time to head off for the rest of the day’s celebrations at Alrewas Hayes. With Chloe and Andy arriving ahead of the guests we took the opportunity to take some photos in front of the beautiful Queen Anne farmhouse. The setting of the courtyard and farm buildings in the grounds of this superb wedding venue made a great setting for a drinks and canapes reception as the guests arrived. Later, family photos were taken before Chloe and Andy’s portraits were taken in the grounds and surrounding farmland.
Afterwards, Chloe and Andy returned to their guests in the beautifully decorated Lakeside marquee for the wedding breakfast and speeches There was then an opportunity to have some twilight photos next to the lake and some images capturing the backdrop of an amazing feature wall.
Back inside the marquee, Chloe and Andy started off the evening celebrations with their cake cutting before taking to the dance floor for their first dance.
