I was delighted that Beccy and Matt had chosen me to be their Swallows Nest Barn wedding photographer as I always enjoy working at new venues and Swallows Nest Barn really is delightful. It had recently opened as an exclusive use wedding venue set in beautiful Warwickshire countryside between Warwick and Stratford upon Avon. With a very sympathetically converted farm building for the ceremony and function rooms, a pleasantly sheltered courtyard and access to open fields all around this venue, it really is perfect for a Warwickshire Barn Wedding.
I met up with Beccy and the girls in Warwick for the early stages of their prep before we all headed off to Swallows Nest Barn which had a very lovely room available for the Brides final preparations
With Matt and the guests in the Barn there was just time for a cheeky peak to make sure the coast was clear before Beccy and her dad headed across the car park to the ceremony conducted in great spirit by the Warwickshire Registrars.
With the sun shining we headed out after the ceremony to make the most of the barn and its surroundings for Beccy and Matt’s photos before heading back to the courtyard for family photos.
Being the middle of December it was pretty chilly and so the Barn was a warm and welcoming haven for the wedding breakfast with entertainment provided by the great magician Owen Strickland. Fun with sparklers followed the speeches before Beccy and Matt took to the dance floor for their first dance.
