For Faye & Jon’s wedding I returned to one of my favourite wedding venues, The Moat House in Acton Trussel, Staffordshire. Surrounded by Lakes & a lovely stretch of canal the Moat House makes a beautiful backdrop for wedding photography in Staffordshire.
The morning started at Fayes parents house in Sutton Coldfield for prep. The conservatory was a hive of activity as the girl’s got ready for the day ahead & spirits were high. 🙂
A quick trip down the road took me to the stunning Erdington Abbey to meet up with Jon & the guys & to get a few shots before Faye’s arrival. With a beautiful Rolls Royce arriving the guests quickly headed into the church & the bridal party wound its way through the churchyard & into the Abbey.
A lovely, personal ceremony followed, enjoyed by all Faye & Jon’s friends & family. After a few shots outside the church we all headed up the M6 into Staffordshire & the Moat House. With the threat of rain looking ever more imminent we quickly took the family photos & headed in as the heavens opened. Speeches & a lovely wedding breakfast followed before Faye, Jon & I headed out for their portrait photos. Sadly the weather was cruel to us with the rain alternating between drizzle & downpour bit Faye & Jon were absolute stars & ignored the rain.
First dance time soon came around & I left with the party in full swing.
