This was the first time for me at The Mill Barns Wedding Venue as the wedding photographer for Sian and James. This amazing new, exclusive use waterfront barn is situated in beautiful Shropshire countryside, just outside Bridgnorth.
The wonderful rustic oak framed wedding barns have been thoughtfully sited in the grounds of a former 17th Century watermill. These 8 acres of grounds are well established and landscaped providing beautiful backdrops for your wedding day. The building is immaculately presented and run smoothly by the award winning team, who also privately own The Ashes Barns wedding venue and Pendrell Hall Country House wedding venue.
As I arrived at Mill Barns it was really pleasing that the weather was glorious as Sian and James had chosen an outside ceremony. I first met up with Sian in the feature dressing room. Sian and the bridal party were really enjoying their preparations in such a wonderful spacious suite. The suite certainly provided the most important hanging space for Sian’s stunning bridal gown and array of beautiful bridesmaids dresses 🙂
Leaving Sian to her final preparations I popped outside to catch up with James and his Best man as they made their arrival in style at The Mill Barns in a bright yellow New York taxi 🙂
The ceremony was to take place on the The Mill Pond Terrace. James and the guests made their way on to the gorgeous terrace overlooking Mill Pond to eagerly await Sian’s arrival. A lovely ceremony was then conducted by the Shropshire Registrars.
After the ceremony and confetti throwing guests mingled inside the barn for a drinks reception whilst Sian and James had the chance to have their family photos taken out on the terrace before heading into the gardens for portrait shots. The mature gardens complete with water features and bridges certainly provided a great setting.
Soon it was time for all the guests to welcome Sian and James into the Mill Pond Barn for their wedding breakfast and speeches. It was great to see their guest visitors (Harry and Meghan) 😉
As the lovely evening light came round I then took the opportunity to take Sian and James back into the gardens for some more photos. Sian and James then made their way back into the Mill Pond Barn where guests had gathered and they took to the dance floor for their brilliant first dance routine.
There was just a chance to take Sian and James back outside to capture a few last twilight shots before it was time for me to leave them to enjoy their evening celebrations.
