I was delighted that Bridget and Matthew had chosen me to be their Eckington Manor Wedding Photographer as this was a new venue for me and one that I was thoroughly looking forward to working at. Eckington Manor is situated on the edge of the Cotswolds in the beautiful Avon valley with great views across the Worcestershire countryside. This charming country house offered the ideal setting for Bridget and Matthew to enjoy a relaxed and informal wedding day surrounded by close family and friends.
Whilst Bridget was making final preparations a short distance away at home I caught up with Matthew at the Manor with his best people, daughter Becky and son Lee. They were busy preparing Matthew’s Austin Healey Sprite for the occasion 🙂
It was soon time for Matthew and the guests to head inside into the lovely light and airy barn for the Ceremony. Bridget made her entrance in a beautiful and fascinating dress complimented by a sunflower bouquet and was given away by her son Thomas. The ceremony was very intimate, with a special reading by Becky and made thoroughly enjoyable by the Registrars.
After the ceremony everyone gathered outside for a drinks reception on the terrace and photos in the gardens overlooking the Malvern Hills before heading back into the Barn for the wedding breakfast. The Manor has a multi-award winning head chef duo. Mark Stinchcombe, being part of this duo won Professional Masterchef 20l5. The quality of the food was one of the key reasons Bridget and Matthew chose Eckington Manor.
After delightful food and entertaining speeches Bridget and Matthew briefly left their guests and took a short drive to the nearby Country park adjacent to the River Avon where we were able to capture more photos. I then left Bridget and Matthew to head off to the local village pub to rejoin their guests and continue their celebrations.
