I travelled over to Staffordshire to first meet up with Ruth for bridal prep at The Lion Hotel, Brewood. This charming 18th century grade II listed Hotel was in such a good location for the Bridal party, being only a short distance from church. Everyone was really relaxed and ready in plenty of time to head over to St Mary’s Catholic Church for the Ceremony.
The church had been decorated with beautiful flowers which complimented the theme of Ruth and the Bridesmaid’s flowers and dresses perfectly. The priest conducted a very enjoyable ceremony that Ruth and Chris could share with close family and friends. The sun was shining brightly as Ruth and Chris made their way out of church to be greeted by guests lining the churchyard path to throw the confetti. A few family photos were taken in the pretty churchyard before everyone headed over to Pendrell Hall to continue the wedding celebrations.
Pendrell Hall is a stunning Country House offerring that most important feature, exclusive use. This is a venue I have had the privilege to work at time and time again with many of my wedding couples. When we first arrived at the hall Ruth and Chris enjoyed drinks and canapes in the gardens before group photos were taken on the lawn. As I know the grounds of the Hall so well, I took Ruth and Chris to some lovely locations for their portraits.
It was soon time for Ruth and Chris to make their entrance into the spectacular Ballroom to the applause of their guests. In the surroundings of such a wonderful room, creating such a relaxed atmosphere, everyone enjoyed entertaining speeches and superb food.
Later, everyone gathered in the bar as the Ballroom was prepared for the evening entertainment. Ruth and Chris took to the dance floor for their first dance before everyone joined them and danced the night away to the fantastic House of Chords Band. Just before I left Ruth and Chris to their guests we had a chance to pop back outside to capture one final twilight shot.
