Wedding Photography at Birmingham Botanical Gardens | Sunita & Ben
From our earlier meetings I knew it was going to be a great day providing wedding photography for Sunita and Ben at Birmingham Botanical Gardens. They were such a great, fun couple, who really did enjoy their wonderful light hearted wedding day.
I caught up briefly with Sunita for bridal prep at Fiona’s house. Fiona was Sunita’s Maid of Honour and was certainly making sure Sunita enjoyed herself as she made her last minute preparations. Leaving the bridal party I then headed over to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
Birmingham Botanical Gardens is situated in the heart of Birmingham City Centre. As well as being a superb wedding venue it is a major visitor attraction in the city, hosting a whole range of events. The 15 acres of glorious gardens with its bandstand and stunning glasshouses gives the character of a Victorian public park.
As ceremony time arrived Ben and the guests were all ready and waiting as Sunita made her way into the Loudon Suite on her father’s arm. The Loudon Suite is named after the garden planner of the Botanical Gardens. This setting was perfect for everyone to enjoy this small, intimate wedding ceremony.
After the ceremony everyone made their way out on to the terrace for a drinks reception and family photos. For Sunita and Ben’s portraits we captured features of the rock pool, aviary and the impressive glasshouses as great backdrops. Before returning to their guests there was time for some fun in the playground too 🙂
Back inside the Loudon Suite, Sunita, Ben and their guests enjoyed the wedding breakfast, followed by entertaining speeches and a slice or two wedding cake 🙂
In the lovely early evening light Sunita and Ben had a lot of fun in the gardens, by the bandstand and glasshouses. After capturing their twilight shots I then left Sunita and Ben to enjoy the rest of their evening celebrations.
