One again it was great to be back for a Wedding at Castle Bromwich Hall as Julie and Ian’s wedding photographer. I had previously had the privilege of photographing the first Wedding at Castle Bromwich Hall after it re-opened as a Hotel and it truly is a stunning Grade l listed property.
I met up with Julie in the State Room Suite. This is a beautiful room for bridal prep and was once a room Queen Mary spent the night on her visit. Julie and her best friend Patricia were calm and relaxed and ready for the big day ahead. I then met up with Ian and the guests in the bar before they all headed into the Long Gallery ready for Julie’s arrival.
The Long Gallery with its oak panelled walls was a perfect setting for the ceremony conducted by the Solihull Registrars. Julie walked down the aisle with Patricia who had the great honour of giving her away. Julie and Ian had a very enjoyable, light hearted ceremony with readings surrounded by all their guests.
After the ceremony the weather was not on our side so I took the opportunity of capturing some portraits with Julie and Ian indoors, using backdrops of the great interiors of the Hall.
The Great Hall was the location for the wedding breakfast where everyone enjoyed good food and speeches in such a special room setting.
As early evening came around the sun came out tempting everybody outdoors. The Hall has 10 acres of beautiful walled gardens. As the guests relaxed in the gardens I was able to take more portraits for Julie and Ian in such glorious surroundings.
Julie and Ian then headed to the Malt House to carry on their evening celebrations. They enjoyed the cake cutting and first dance before I left them to carry on celebrating their special day with all their friends and family.
