For the 2nd wedding on the trot I was travelling to a new area for me to provide Derbyshire wedding photography for Esme & Leo’s Big Day. Â Chesterfield was the destination with Esme & Leo getting married at The delightful St Thomas’s church before heading off to the fabulous Fischer’s Baslow Hall for the Reception.
The day started very bright & early (!) for Esme’s delightfully laid back prep at her parent’s home before the short journey to St Thomas’s to meet up with Leo & the rest of the guests, although with Esme & Leo having chosen a very small, intimate wedding we didn’t exactly fill the church. Not that it mattered at all as the ceremony was great, full of fun & so personal because of Esme’s strong family connections with the church. At this point I have to say that I never thought I would witness a lasagne being made during a wedding ceremony, but it happened!! Maybe it’s a northern thing 🙂
After the fun of the ceremony & a few photos in the churchyard we headed into the Peak District to the utterly charming Fischer’s for the rest of the days celebrations. There was no keeping Michelin starred food waiting & so we were straight into the wedding breakfast before heading into the grounds to enjoy a beautiful, sunny afternoon & get some lovely, relaxed photos of the afternoons fun.
