The heart of Birmingham City Centre was my destination for a Birmingham Register Office wedding. As Lyndsey and Gavin’s wedding photographer I met up with them as they arrived, to capture Lyndsey and Gavin relaxed and chatting to their guests ahead of the ceremony.
As ceremony time arrived the guests had gathered in the room to witness Lyndsey and Gavin making their entrance together. Everybody enjoyed a very light hearted ceremony conducted by the Birmingham Registrars. After the ceremony family photos were taken in the pleasant surroundings of the Register Office gardens.
It was a lovely Autumn day as Lyndsey, Gavin and I took a very short stroll over to the canal basin. The towpaths and bridges, with the backdrop of The Mailbox were a great location to capture Lyndsey and Gavin’s portrait shots.
The rest of the days celebrations were taking place a short distance away, just outside the city centre, in the area of Kings Heath. Just off the High Street is Fletchers Bar and Eatery which is a offbeat little Bar and Bistro. The Bistro provided a very relaxed setting for Lyndsey and Gavin and their guests to enjoy home cooked food for their wedding breakfast which started off with a selection of tapas. Hugely entertaining speeches followed courtesy of Best Man James and Lyndsey.
For the evening we all moved over to The Kitchen Garden Cafe, the sister venue of Fletchers. The cafe is well know locally for its live music on various nights of the week, specialising in folk, roots and Americana. The small lit up garden of the cafe was perfect for capturing some evening portraits.
Lyndsey then commenced the evening with another entertaining speech, before the band kept everybody entertained well into the night 🙂
